Connecting with other former members can make a big difference, especially in the early days after leaving, when it can feel like you’ve lost everyone. The groups below are run by and for people who have left the PBCC. Public pages can be seen by anyone, including current members, so think about what you share there. Private groups vet new members before letting them in, which gives people a safer place to talk. If you’re not sure which group is right for you, please contact us and we’ll help you work it out.

Like-Minded PBCC Insiders Support Group - a confidential Facebook group for people who are still in the PBCC and want somewhere to talk about their questions, doubts or experiences without judgment or pressure to make any decision. If you’re still inside, make sure the device and account you use are safe before you join.

Plymouth Brethren Christian Church Exposed by Get A Life Podcast- the official Facebook group for the Get A Life podcast, where former members, families, journalists and anyone looking into the PBCC can follow the latest news and join the conversation. It’s a public group, so anyone can see what’s posted.

Ex-PBCC/Exclusive Brethren Social Page - a public Facebook group where leavers and survivors of the PBCC around the world share news and information, reminisce, and ask questions, including on behalf of someone else who needs privacy. New members are verified by others in the group, and it’s for former members only, apart from the occasional exception. It isn’t a place for debating religious beliefs.

Exclusive Brethren / PBCC the truth about Bruce D Hales - a public Facebook page sharing first-hand accounts of what has happened, and is still happening, inside the PBCC.

Ex-Eb Page - a private Facebook group for leavers and survivors of the PBCC to share news and memories and to support people who have recently left. Unlike some groups, respectful discussion of religious beliefs is allowed, but preaching, blasphemy and attacking other members are not. It’s for former members only, and every new member has to be vouched for by people already in the group, so you’ll need a photo that identifies you and your home town on your profile to be accepted.

Ex-Exclusive Brethren (PBCC) Believers Group - Closed Group- a private Facebook group for former PBCC members who have kept their Christian faith, or who are exploring questions about God, to pray, talk about their faith and support each other while they work through what they’ve left behind. It’s meant to be encouraging rather than a place for news or criticism of the Brethren, and what’s shared there stays private to the group.

Unsaved-Ex PBCC - a Facebook group for former and current members of the PBCC who are questioning their beliefs or now identify as atheist, agnostic, humanist or free-thinking. It’s a supportive place to talk openly about life after religious belief. Preaching isn’t allowed, and members are asked to protect the identities of anyone still in the PBCC.
