Who Founded Brave Horizons Network?

Brave Horizons Network is a non-profit charitable organization, founded in Canada.

The founding members are all survivors of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, also known as the Exclusive Brethren. We represent a new community formed by those who chose to leave.

Leaving a high-control religious group means losing your family, your community, and your entire way of life. We know this because we have experienced it. We have lived it.

We know the pain. But, we also know the freedom. We know the new community, the new family.

Brave Horizons Network was created to provide a landing place for those taking that courageous step, offering connection, support, and resources for rebuilding life on the outside.

What is Our Mission?

The mission of Brave Horizons Network is to support individuals leaving high-control religious groups, with healing, community, and practical resources, while raising awareness across Canadian society about the realities of religious trauma and coercive control.

What is Our Vision?

The vision of Brave Horizons Network is a world where no one leaving a high-control religious group has to face the journey alone.
